When choosing fabric be CERTAIN your fabric is both
DURABLE and WASHABLE!
A few favorite choices are:
1-Denim
2- All thickness of Cotton*
3- twill
4- Corduroy
5- Cotton Blends
6- Washable Home décor
(Carefully Read care label for washing instructions)
7- Minky Fabrics
*Light weight cottons similar to quilters cotton and broadcloth
are also fine choices and will be reinforced with a plain colored
fabric backing (no additional charge).
Fabrics I DO NOT recommend:
1- lycra or and lycra blends
2- Spandex and spandex blends
3- fleece
4- flannel
When choosing fabrics I strongly advise my customers to use common sense and read the “care” label on fabric. If there is a dry-clean-only label~stay away and if the fabric looks like it would tear in the wash~stay away. Keep the
DURABLE AND WASHABLE RULE
up front in your mind when choosing fabrics and it will help to guide your selection.
